City Council Study Session – 5/18/2015
38th Ave. Next Steps:
After a number of citizens and business oweners spoke on all sides of the 38th Ave. issue, and council discussed the pros and cons of the previous road diet plan, a consensus was reached by the ENTIRE Council to move forward with some new mainstreet/streetscape/drive lane/bike lane design options and to bring back those options to the greater community and City Council for discussion, review and input. We are not starting over, but we are looking at ALL the possiblities and choices for a win-win mainstreet for our residents, business owners and our community. Let’s do it right this time. This is going to be fun with all options on the table now!
The study session can be viewed on the City’s website. Looks like we are finally working towards a win-win solution where all sides are being heard and considered.
